Quoting a 3-4-month-old post, I know, but wanted to point out that I am planning on getting one of these in Izzy and hooking it up to a back-up camera as someone else on here did. Great idea there as I am going from driving a 2014 Dodge Dart Limited alone (Which is the fully loaded Dart) back to my Alero since I can drive her again.
Might have gotten lazy with the back-up cam in the Dart

This is what my setup looks like now. (image may be crap; it was taken with a 20 megapixel camera and reduced to 650 px^2)
These are the parts I used, Mr. CharmfulPeace:
Antenna adapter
Class 2 Data Bus Interface
Compact Camera
Head Unit Mounting Bracket
Hope you find this useful!

Also picked up a Standard shift knob a couple years back and have decided to try and do some makeshift modifications to the knob itself so that I can use it on Izzy (Who is an auto).
Already have some ideas.. The main of which being that I get something like a copper pipe that would be able to fit inside of the knob while also being able to nicely fit over the shaft so that I can use a "Push down" movement in order to shift gears.
I've already gotten out my calliper and the knob is pretty much just 2mm bigger than the shaft, so shouldn't take much to make it work.
I just don't really like the stock shifter knob and have been looking for a project to do for the longest time! Will definitely upload pics when I am done to show you guys how it turned out.

Not today..yesterday, I took the carpet out and brought it to the self car wash and cleaned it. Going to give her a extreme cleaning makeover today on the rest of the interior.

Drove it for the first time in a little over 3 months. She's been down waiting on new parts. Back on the road with 231,725 miles. New rear hubs, parking shoes, and struts, as well as new calipers in the front.
My parking brake still doesnt hold worth a crap. The rotor is hardly wore and the shoes adjusted as far as will allow. With it pulled nearly vertical I can still roll the car with ease. Anyone hear of the cables stretching before?

If you find it let me know. I hate having to park in gear sometimes. I looked up in the handle assembly but couldn't find anything.
If you ever make it to a junk yard I need those coil pack bolts
and Tim! Lets see the ass of that beauty!

I looked up the parking brake adjustment using the repair manuals I have access to using prodemand and according to what I read it's self adjusting. Cables must be stretched.

I took apart my key FOB and cleaned out the insides and cleaned the button contacts (this is really why I did this). The key FOB now works perfectly.

That's the only possible thing I could think of. Would it be possible for the springs to get weak enough to allow it to not engage at all? As much 'umf' as it took to get them re-hooked I just don't see them being THAT weak.

It's so dead here I however would love to have as many pictures as you can take. Will it be re-painted the factory bronze mist?
and on a side note- did you get my email?

Lol yeah i just got it... And replied!!
As for the car, she will be repainted the bronze mist, i love the colour so I'm not going to change out!!! I was hoping to have the kit finished by now so i could have her painted by now, but i sold my lowering suspension so i had to focus on finishing the air ride before i could get back into the body work... Another set back but what else is new lol... Now time is against me for having it painted this summer as my wife already has September booked and the first 3 weeks of October filled as well...
Getting old sucks, it's getting harder to stay motivated after working a 14hr day to go out to work on the car...

I filled up for the first time since I've driving the alero again. I was extremely happy to find I am again achieving 31.7 mpgs! Pore old thing still needs some work in the front drivetrain and suspension. 231,973 miles as of tonight.

I changed the oil in my Alero today. I'm up to 47K miles on my 1999 now. I don't normally drive this car in th winter, but the timing belt broke on my winter beater and I am waiting for the part in the mail. Note: Don't ever mail order car parts from Amazon in late December. D-oh!
