The rumors surround the LE5 2.4L intake manifold from the Cobalt fitting on the L61 2.2L Ecotec, and yes, it fits. Check www.j-body.org for further information.

What would the gain be of doing this???

[ion] C2 09-27-2008 10:59 AM

higher flow or something

Any intake or exhaust manifold from any Ecotec engine are all interchangeable and can be directly bolted on. This includes the 2.0L turbo Eco... :thumb:

The 2.4 LD9 is a different engine all together.

Really? I didn't know the new LNF's stuff was interchangeable with the L61.... nice..

I didnt know the 2.4 ecotec exhaust manifold could fit the 2.2 ecotec, good to know!!:rolleyes2:

Ya, some people using the header from the LSJ 2.0 on the 2.2L as well, I hear about it on j-body often.

Spilner521 10-02-2008 01:24 AM

^^Yep, the aftermarket headers for the supercharged LSJ use larger diameter tubes and a few guys have reported some nice gains with them even on a N/A L61.

Yeah. A nice N/A setup would be the 2.4 LE5 Ecotec intake manifold since it has a larger plenum and an aftermarket LSJ header with a full 2.5" high flow cat and exhaust :thumb:

heineck 10-02-2008 01:06 PM

WOW who makes good headers for the LSJ

99-alero 10-03-2008 06:24 AM

i did the 2.4 intake on my Ion and it made a pretty noticable difference

heineck 10-03-2008 12:50 PM
