03 alero egr problems
 
service engine light keeps coming on a.a said it was the egr changed it 2 times still showin same problem any ideas?Engine also hesitates after 45mph when i give it the gas.

i thought only the 99 yr had egr? wat did u change twice?

99 was the only year that DIDN"T have it ;)

All the V6s have EGR regardless of the year.

What DTC is it?

Thanks for the help will get the cat checked out.If it is the cat i will probably go ahead and get new pipes.

Yea i replaced the plugs and wires and still does it i'll get the cat checked thanks for the reply.

Not having a EGR wont cause the problems your having. I deleted mine and all I had to do was shut the light off for SES that it was giving me. I would get that CAT checked out. The DTC is a diagnostic code that is given when something fails. Our cars have pages of them for when stuff goes wrong.

Finally got the problem solved i had the cat changed then it showed up a misfire on #5-after the cat was put on still had the same problem used another dt to check it and it showed a misfire changed coil car runs good now anyways it was time for a good tune up thnks guys for the help.
