Smooth Shifting

I am experiencing smooth shifting... A little too smooth  Anyways, lately I have noticed my shifting is very soft. I do not even feel the shifts. The rpms just drop when the car shifts, but there is no apparent bump. Does this mean my transmission is dying? Would a shift kit solve this issue? or will it make things worse?

Sounds like you either have low fluid levels, old worn out fluid, gummed up internals or a combo of any of them.

I would first check the fluid level and if it's low, just add some more to see if it helps. If it doesn't do much, I would drop the pan, replace the filter and refill with as much new fluid as you can. This will eliminate all the regular maintenance items out of your diagnostic equation.

Cool. After reading the "no reverse" thread, I was kind of leaning towards that. Looks like a transmission fluid change is next on my list. After doing the fluid change, I will post if that fixed the issue. Thank you
