Hey all,

I'll make this short... running boards on the Alero, once the 6 plastic screws on the bottom and 2 on the ends are taken out, how in the world do I get the running boards off?

There are (about) 8 clips running along the outter edge of the running boards holding them on... anyone know how to take them off? Thanks,

Ej.

I'm assuming that anyone who's put a body kit on would know something about it... *crossing my fingers*

you will probably end up breaking off some clips, it happens... Are you putting on a body kit? I put the Andy's Auto Sport kit on over top of the originals. I have a '99 I know that they are different from other years, but I think the AAS kit would still go over top of them. Good Luck if you have Andy's Auto Sport kit, not the best fitment for the sides... front and rear fit good, bolt right on, no trimming.

No, not putting on a body kit... exactly... I need to gain access under the running boards to hard mount the exhaust face plate to the body... I might just hack and slash the running board, as it's only on for a little while longer... but, I would rather take it off properly... and GM's schematics don't help either... infamous part number 16... thanks though... pics are coming soon...
