I have a borla cat back exhaust system, and i want to get a new cat converter for it..... i believe the piping on the borla is 2.25, and i was looking at different magnaflow cat converters.... would any of them work? if not which ones would work? I saw a different variety of the sizes and shapes.... do they matter for performance or fitting? Also i noticed that some of them say "with air" or without air.... what difference does that make? I would appreciate any kind of help.....
Thanks,
Shane

check ebay you can get them pretty cheap...i think my 3" magnaflow cat was something like $60 shipped. but yeah...look for one that has 2.25" inlet/outlet and without the air tube. we dont have air tubes on ours.

i'm not sure i know what you're asking....a part number maybe?? i dont remember the part number i got, but like i said just type "magnaflow 2.25 converter" in the ebay search box and there's a bunch that come up. i just looked myself and most of them are $50-$60 shipped. there are some that show the air tube on the converter, just email the seller and ask him if he has them without the tube.....or i think the tubes might come with a cap on them so it wouldnt be a problem. either way, magnaflow converters are the best way to go when it comes to high flow cats...especially if you want it to be emissions legal.

I run a dynomax high flow but, they are all pretty much the same so go for what is the most cost efficient because changing the cat will only get you like one more horse. In addition the cat is not what directly connects to the system. Remember me telling you about getting a header flange gasket that you should replace? The flange it self is where the cat back bolts up. I'll be free today so if you have more questions or whatever just call me.
