I'm going to take the steering wheel off and don't have the right puller, so I need to go pick one up. The airbag is already off, so can I start up the car and drive with it disconnected? If I unplug the airbag module under the seat, it should be fine right?

Both of my airbags are out and everything is disconnected. The only thing is that the airbag light stays on now.

Take the airbag fuse out of the fusebox and you don't have to worry about anything at all. I drove it like this for about a month. I'll take a picture of the ring puller you need.

Remove the fuse that is directly above my finger. Your airbag light won't come on anymore either.

This is the only puller that will work. I got mine from autozone. I forget exactly what it is called, but I don't believe that they sell it as a steering wheel puller. Trust me though, out of the four different types that autozone had this is the only one that works on our car, and of course I bought every other one that didn't work first. :shout:

Thanks for the fuse info. I have a steering wheel puller, but didn't realized I need a 2-finger puller until I had the airbag off already.

And as requested, the hood........fully functional...........

Love that hood.

I couldn't get any of the other pullers to work. I didn't want to spend forever trying to figure them out. I'm sure you can get them to work, I just think the puller I showed in the picture is easiest.

The 2 prong puller bent the hell out of my steering wheel. I had to go get the 3 prong puller and it came off but was a big pita.
