Clunking noise when I brake? What could this be?

Recently since a couple of weeks ago when I brake my car i hear a clunk noise coming from my front end. Has anyone expirienced this and know how to fix it? The car has always had this noise though it has never been this loud before and had worsened. I had a second stearing rack replaced in the car a month ago at like 97k, the first one was at 50k (dealership probably put in cheapest used one they could find). Anyways would I need new sway bar links and bushings? I had them done at 50k too or would replacing my struts and springs help?

One possibility is the brake pads sliding around in the calipers. Common problem among many cars. Two possible causes are worn out spring clips holding the pads, or aftermarket pads that aren't sized correctly.
