lol that's actually pretty expensive... my friend bought a 10" infinity sub in a box brand new for $100 and I know you can get a low end pioneer amp for about $70 that's 200W.

Good brand, crappy power rating. But for that little bit of power, it isn't really a steal.

^as long as you like them.
i have 2 fosgate he2s. they serve their purpose. I don't know a whole hell of a lot about different brands. a friend was selling them and i took them. I was just commenting on the low power. but you can always get a higher amp later if you want.

Not the best deal but not the worst either.
RF makes good stuff that does what it says it will.
Your head unit doesnt put out 40 WRMS either- impossible.

160 might seem low ( i thought the same thing) but this thing hits really hard i just wanted to add a little bass to the stock set up. i can make my brain itch !!! ( you know the feeling ) . i have the head unit bass knob in the middle and the amp gain a little under half way up when the stock speakers distort the sub is rattling everything including my brain i like it

sounds like the guy got a pretty decent deal for $100.
and cherrington, your stereo certainly doesnt put out anywhere near the power this amp does. look in your manual, and you'll see it is prolly good for about 17 watts rms.

Its not a matter of low power per say, its a matter of how well your amp will drive your sub and the amount of displacement your sub can provide tied in with the enclosure its in.
Crappy enclosure = crappy sound
Crappy amp/not enough = not very loud
Crappy sub = not very loud
Crappy everything = you probably bought Sony!
