Aux line on stock head unit

Well I posted this on another thread but didn't get much of a response so I'll try it on here. Just wondering if anyone knew how to get an aux line in with a stock head unit on a 01 Alero. It's just the CD player, no tape. I've found a few plug and play devices for around $100, but if I could get away with a little splicing here and there, I'd much rather do that.
