upgraded calipers?

i know that there are a wealth of break upgrades available for wheels that are 17 inches and over, but i dont have plans for new wheels for a while.. are there any calipers better than stock that will fit with the stock, 16' polished wheels? thanks guys.

no. unless you want to check if vette brakes fit behind 16"s. I know they fit behind the GaGT 16"s but the offset may be different.

i wish i could tell you. Cliff is the only alero owner to have done the vette brake swap, he is running 17"s. He might check for you though.

The 12" upgrade will fit SOME 16s, but apparently none of the stock 16s.

The Corvette upgrade brakes don't fit behind GA wheels, but they do fit behind Grand Prix 5 star wheels

they do fit behind GA wheels

and if they fit behind those, shouldn't they fit behind the alero rims?

no those are GT wheels. That still doesnt make it a sure thing that they will fit behind stock alero 16"s. It depends if the offsets are similar.

grand prix wheels have smaller spokes,
they do look similar though

I guess we won't know until somebody tries

or figures out how similar the grand am and alero wheels are

Those aren't necessarily GT wheels. I think they were the GT wheels from '99-'01 or something like that. The newer GT wheels for sure don't fit.

Also, I believe that pic is a F-Body (Camaro/Firebird) not a Corvette caliper.
