interesting problem... Think you can help me out?

ok so i have the 2001 v6 alero, and a little while ago the change oil light came on, and to be honest ive done a week or two's driving with the light on, which is bad, but is not a terrible amount of driving. then the other day all of a sudden three other lights came on, "service viehcle soon" "Anti-lock" and my traction controll light came on all at the same time. im changing the oil tomarow but does anyone else have any information that could help me out with whats going on?

your trac off light, service vehicle soon light, and ABS light pretty much means your wheel speed sensor (located in the wheel bearing) is shot.. you need to replace your wheel hubs.

as for the oil.. just change it and reset the light, by turning the key to ON, pressing and holding the reset button in the fuse box (drivers side behind the door.. open the door and you'll see it.. it's on the side of the dash) untill you hear chimes.. press the reset button untill "CHANGE OIL" is flashing.. press and hold the reset button untill you hear a chime.. turn the car off, and then turn it back on and start it. voila.

your Change Oil light automatically illuminates after so many miles.

turn the key to the on position, puch the reset button in your fuse panel til the change oil ight blinks, and then hold the reset button until u hear chimes. either that or turn key to on position, pump gas pedal 3 times all the way down, and start the car. 1st way works better tho.

alerored04 is an unknown quantity at this point
FYI a wheel bearing costs like $90-$120 and takes an hour to do, faster if you have had to do 6 of them like me.

The Owner's manual does tell you how to rest the oil change light. It took me longer to find the info in the manual than it did to reset the light.
