Hi All!

Changed my oil on 7/2/04 and have only put 342 miles on car since. I drive it regularly in town and at hwy speeds.

Out of the blue this AM, the Change Oil Soon light came on. I pressed the RESET button with the car running, with it off, with the key on ACC, etc.

No effect...light still stays on while driving.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Grant

I'm not sure what you did, but this is how you reset it:
Put the key to "ON"
Push the RESET button once. Either Low Tire Pressure or Change Oil will flash.
If Change Oil isn't flashing, push RESET again, and it should be now.
Push and hold RESET until the car chimes 5 times. Release the button and the light should go off.

If that's what you did and it didn't work, I dunno, otherwise, try that.

Not to sound sarcastic.. but the first thing you should do is check the oil stick and make sure there isn't a leak.

It would flash "low oil" if the oil was low. I use the accelerator reset always, it's simpler than the reset button.

Thanks to all for the suggestions...the hold the reset button for five seconds while Change Oil light flashes did the trick. Before my original post, I tried to figure it out but the exact procedures always do the trick.
