Okay, I'll ask....
what do you charge to rebuild a long block? Here's my mild-performance rebuild idea:
Stock 3400 block bored .040" over (1mm overbore)
Stock 3400 crank, but cleaned up a bit
Stock 3400 rods, but lightened and shotpeened, with ARP bolts on the big end
Sealed Power hyperutectic pistons, 1mm oversize w/ matching rings
GM head gaskets for 3500 (94mm bore), ARP head studs
Balance rotating assembly
Stock heads but milled .020", LS1 valve springs, polished exhaust ports
Reground stock cam (lobe lift: .295", duration: 206/210 at .050")
Sealed Power roller lifters, stock pushrods and 1.6:1 roller rockers
Clevite main, rod, and cam bearings
Should provide a healthy bump in performance without busting the bank, dontcha think?
