I liked both my CAI and WAI. I like the WAI better because it is easier to clean and install. I only do city driving so it is better for me ne ways. But I think alot had to do w/ my filters. With my CAI I had a cheap filter and with the WAI I have a K&N which I think made all the difference. I can hear that thing sucking in so much air. Gas mileage is great w/ both.
I had my CAI on during winter and didn't have one problem w/ it. When I took my CAI out to sell it the filter was wet so you do have to clean it more often then a WAI.

Finally got to run my car on the highway last night and at 70mph the RPM's were only at 1850-1900. I've got a 100% stock '02 GLS with the 3400, auto trans, and Sport Suspension Package.
Don't know why everyone else is revving so high at cruising speeds.

MAlero is right, i checked mine at 70mph (2.2l 03 ecotec...) and it coasts at just abou 3k at 70mph.
65mph is exactly 2.5k

The highway I was on has hills and flats and I only monitored the RPM's in the flats. I will go back out and check it again tomorrow (I already know I'm only going to be on slower local roads tonight) to confirm but I knew when I first read Redog's RPM ranges that it sounded much higher than what I'm used to getting in my car.
In my Camaro with the 383 small-block and 4.10 posi, 3,500 RPM's was 60mph. With my stock '93 Daytona with 167,xxx miles on the original 3.0L V-6, 60mph is around 2100 (I think 70 is around 2,400-2,500). When you run a Camaro with a posi rear geared high enough to throw off your speedo, you are forced to pay alot of attention to the tach to maintain certain cruising speeds. That gets you thinking about your RPM's in your other cars, too, if even they're all automatics.

i was just messin....i know what u mean about using the tach to monitor speeds...my cutlass had no speedo for like a month...so with the 307 it had, 1750RPM was 60mph...

Guess I could've edited my previous post, but oh well...
Just thought I'd mention that I have the 2.4l engine. And of course my new wai.

Sounds like the smaller engines rev higher under all conditions, relative to the 3400.

i've got a 99 3400 v6...cruising @ 120km/hr its revving @ 2200 RPM's...not sure if the newer cars have a diff. final gear ratio but that is low rev's for DAYTONA...

Could be a different ratio. Or that the newer 3400's just run more efficiently. I just wish I had better gas mileage.
