2000 upper manifold on a 1999 LIM

I'm painting my spare UIM (2000 model) tonight or tomorrow (as well as my valve cover), and I'm gonna replace my current UIM (1999) with the 2000 one. I was just wondering if anyone knew if there are any complications with placing a 2000 UIM onto a 1999 LIM. I know the EGR valve mounts differently on the 2000 UIM, but is there any other problem I will run into? Also, will I need to get a new throttle body gasket or whatever in order to put my current TB onto the new 2000 UIM? Thanks ho's!

1) no.

2) it depends on what the old TB gasket looks like. if it looks new then i would re-use it. you can't go wrong with a new gasket though.

PROBLEM. the gasket pictured above is for the 2000 3400, which is the year of the UIM, but the throttle body gasket for the 99 is different. it's like that one, but it just has the circle, no extended square piece like that. I was hoping to put my 99 TB back on, so which gasket should I use? or should I try to put the 2000 TB on (it's been thrown around a bit cause I thought I didn't need it)? thanks!

Use the 00+ gasket and your 99 TB. Don't throw that 00+ TB around, especially if it has the plastic linkage. Those are worth $25 to me and 3100 owners can use the 56mm TB as an upgrade over their 52mm.
