Hm. Well, I MIGHT keep my 5.25's up front, but I downsized to 5x7's in the back and they just aren't giving me the bass I want

Well dont expect bass out of speakers in this area, simple as that.

If you want bass get a sub.

I didn't say I wanted thumping bass, I just want BASS. The ones I have now just can't handle it. They're impressive treble speakers, but crackle on lower frequencies.

4x6 and 6x9 down to a 5.25 and 5x7, that's how much surface area lost? I made a mistake and didn't think the difference would be as drastic as it was. I simply wish to go back. The only reason I changed them out in the first place was because when I got the car, two of the speakers were blown.

"B: A total newb named stickybuddz420 (read into that as much as you want)"

Well, I am a newb to owning a Alero, so naturally I would be a newb to the stereo that lies within, but I do have past knowledge of car audio. I am far from expert, and always willing to learn, I figure more insight from different angles is more helpful than 1 idea, Just my opinnion though. =)

Hes just ragging on you because your an obvious pot head- brain dead is what hes getting at.

Hes a bit tasteless at times with some ruthless comments. Just return the favor in due time, he seems to love that.
