will the subs be bridged too 4ohms? because that it how i have my two 10s. with a 4ohm mono amp. If you do it like that the subs will prbably put out 600rms i think im not an expert thats jsut an example. hoppe this helps a bit

Nevermind, i found they are dual 4 ohm... you can wire the two down to a 1-ohm load. Find a good mono-amplifier to push them. They are rated 600wrms a piece so i'd find something rated to put out about 1500, and adjust the gain appropriately. I personally wouldn't have gone with jl to start with, but as long as you didn't pay msrp i can't bash you too much. If you want affordable power, i would look into the hifonics bxi1610d. I've ran one for over a year with not a single issue. Cheap power, quality amplifier, great price. http://cgi.ebay.com/Hifonics-BXI-161...item45f12de560
What you should be worried about is your electrical more than anything if you'll be playing with something bigger than 1000 watts. It won't be too big of a deal here, but i would look into at least the kinetik hc600 or something as such. Do your big three in some 1/0, and run at least 4ga power, and you should be fine. You're not going to need a ho alt. here. I'm sure you'll get some more amplifier suggestions here or there. What is your current electrical by the way? Also, what are you looking to spend? Probably could have started with those questions...

well the RMS of the W6 is 600 so just get two of these amps.http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_amps.php?amp_id=557 My buddy has some 13.5 inch w7s hw runs 2 1000.1 amps and the amps are 1000 watts RMS so two of them would be to much for each sub .

Will it make them play? Yes. Will it meet anywhere near rms? No. Would you be happier holding off until you found a better amplifier for them? Yes. I don't want to sound like a dink, but trust me dude, i went out on a cheapo, unheard of brand, underpowering amp to begin with, i later upgraded to at least meet the subwoofers specifications and couldn't be happier. My only regret is that i didn't do it right the first time, and feel like i threw $175.00 down the drain.

And when choosing an amplifier look at rms. Your only wiring options are either 1-ohm, or 4-ohms. Make sure the amplifier specifications match up to them. I would not drop $200 on that amp that you would have to either 1. underpower your subs by at least 400watts, or fry the amplifier because it is 1-ohm stable.

try these for good inexpensive power. i run a hifonics brutus bxi2008d and its a beast.

hifonics and crunch are made by Maxxsonics both good amps.

Well if your looking at that kind of power...

1) You will need to do entire Big 3 with 4 Ga wiring

2) Extra battery is pretty much necessary- or a larger alternator

3) 1/0 wire to the back.

At the end of the day you want an amplifier with enough headroom to do what you need without maxing itself out.

American bass VFL series provides a competition quality/duty amplifier at a decent price. There more flexibility also...

http://americanbassusa.com/front/sho...spx?fileid=181

That would run $300

A little more tame would be the 80.1 for $200

http://americanbassusa.com/front/sho...spx?fileid=291

1/0 wiring kits for $80

I also have the Crunch 1500.1 Available for $140

I have the Brutus amp also but my pricing is not competitive on it.

The Brutus amp is a decent amp, will do what it says.

For $200 though your budget is pretty weak. Especially if thats to include wiring.

Remember, you get what you pay for!

I may go with that amp. then im willing to pay more if it will match the subs how i like them.

The 200 to 250 is for the amp alone.

wiring will be done regardless.

i am getting alot of help and i thank you guys so much cuz i need it :?

but my foucs is a amp first and so far the Hifonics BXI 1610D

?

Are your subs DVC 4 Ohms?

If so you have a 1 Ohm load. Your looking for around 1,200-1,500 WRMS @ 1 ohm.

This is 2,000 WRMS @ 1 Ohm. 800 WRMS more than you need...

Thats to dangerous, especially considering your level of knowledge. This makes blowing subs easy...

Why would it make the subs mess up?

Theres no danger in it.

Its all about application. To much power, wrong box, bad tuning is what leads to blowing subs.
