No power to anything

Sup everyone this is my first post. I have a '99 Alero GL 3.4L, lately ive been having strange electrical problems. When I turn the key everything lights up, then everything dies like the battery has been disconnected. I start tugging and tapping at the modules under the dash and the power comes back. When the power comes back its starts up just fine and I notice that everything has reset (trip mileage, radio). What could this be and has anyone else had this problem?

Check your teminals.. I had the exact same problem, the negative terminal was tight on the battery but the plate inside was not making a good connection.

I put a washer and dielectric grease on it and haven't had the problem in almost a year.

i went ahead and replaced one of the battery bolts and so far i havent had any problems. by any chance if the body control module were to take a dump would it cause these problems??
