After market JVC Deck
I am looking at installing an aftermarket JVC Deck, But it seems the measurments are bigger then what the stock deck is.. I looked at different decks too and they all seem to be bigger, Is it just me doing bad measuring or will it be a B^%^ to get in there?
btw i have a 03 alero GLS
Thanks,
Ryan

You're worrying too much. Just get the usual dash-install kit and put it in. You'll be fine.

Then maybe you should let someone experienced do it for you.

buy the kit, put it in. It will fit. If its too long, jut cut out the plastic brace behind the radio. Then you can fit anything.

Alright so i took it to a place where they hook this shit up.. They said that you would have to re wire stuff because of my monsoon amp in the back that came with the car, if you just wired it normally it wouldn't sound right. Does that make sense to you guys.. it's a 03 alero GLS with a 3.4 v6

You're gonna need a specific wiring harness iirc with the monsoon equipped vehicles...
It's been a while since I've seen talking about monsoon setups.

Well everything went in good. The deck fit perfectly, and they didn't charge me for the labour cause they new i had a budget.. Only problem is, is only 1 sub works.. The other is just blown.. So come summer time, or when i get my tax return. I will be buying two entry level clarion 10's

i love how some places will do that with people on a budget i priced everything but my screen and my door speakers at a shop a buddy works at and with wiring kit its gonna run me about $700 for my subs, amp and rear 6x9's all kicker speakers of course but then again i can get two 12's in box for $300 and the amp is $200, the 6x9's are $60 and the wiring is another $100 4 gauge, then the rest is tax
