Anyone install the Curt brand trailer hitch? I attached the image, I just don't understand how they expect you to get the "U shaped spacer" inside the frame rail under the "square hole spacer." There is no way to center it or "fishwire" it into the frame because the one end is obviously open.
I emailed Curt, and the guy told me that the "U shaped spacer" goes between the hitch and the "Hex Flange Nut." Which is completely different than the directions show. However, that is what I decided to do. The directions even say in bold letters, "Be sure to keep "C" shaped block centered around hole inside frame rail." I was debating not using it at all because other hitch companies don't have anything like that...
