Lug pattern question..

I know this might have been asked many times and I know the pattern is 5x115 but I'm wondering if 5x114.3 will work also since there ain't much to choose in the other pattern. I found some nice Rota Grids with candy red paint for a great deal but the lug pattern is 114.3.

Be careful though you may cause the the slightest weakness in the studs being its not an exact match but you should have no problems with it

In all reality what is the major difference other than the measurement differences? I rather make a confident decision on a set of rims and not be stuck with a set that I can never use.

I believe you need to know the center bore on the wheels and its gotta be. 70.3mm anything other then that you might need hub centric rings.

Ok I'll check. Mine is the GLS Sedan if they have different stuff than the GL or GX models then that should pin point the answer. I really like my GLS rims but I'm really in need of new rims cause one is slightly bent and throwing the balance off horribly. Even after balancing it my car shakes violenty going down the highway -.- I'm waiting for the wheel to fall off any day now... No amount of wieghts are able to fix it...

If i read that right, all aleros have the same bolt pattern no matter the model.

bolt pattern, center hub bore size is all the same... 5x115, 70.3...

by the way, if your wheel is that wobbly, put it on the rear if it is not already... I can guarantee you would rather lose a rear wheel vs a drive/steering wheel to be able to still maintain as much control of the vehicle as possible...

also, depending on your budget, a good rim shop should be able to fix the bend in your stock wheel, and would be cheaper than buying a whole new set of rims if you like what you have now...

Make sure if the hub bore on the Rotas is bigger then 70.3 to get a hub centric ring.

I recommend going for a wheel with a 5x114.3 bolt pattern unless you can find it in 5x115, that would be nice. So many wheels are made in 5x114.3 bolt pattern rather then 5x115.

Ohhhh I love grids! Such nice wheels... will be interesting to see some hardcore import wheels on an alero.... I'd say do it...

Anything FWD GM from the 90's and early 2000s that was bigger than a J body has 5x115 wheels and a center bore of 70.3. You can literally put Cadillac wheels on the Alero and all will be good. I did it once with my Grand Am (put my Cutlass wheels on it). The only thing that really changes is the offset.

But to answer your question.... 5x114.3 does fit. In fact, mustang and crown vic wheels fit... they have the same center bore as us.

To wide I think... afaik the widest you can fit is 9inch wide... but lower it add some camber and roll your fenders and you may be alright.

If you haven't bought these yet I will kill you

Hahaha not yet. The guy wants $800 for them. I do plan on getting them and stancing the car so they will fit. Possibly roll the finders to tuck them and drop her a bit. Just gathering my list of things to do and I'll get things rollin.

Maybe :P I like going around corners real fast and that is what cambering will help with. Mine wont be for show well maybe just a lil bit but they will be used correctly
