U guys think this would look good on my car? Well it's so cheap I think I will try, I know I won't do the same color as my car, but I will try it in black and see what happens. It's iether this or tinting my tails, and this can be undone, so this is first. Ill try to do it in the next week or two

I think you should try it REV.
Oh yea you can take the tint off your tails too.
I did it with laquer thinner and a cotton cloth.
Washed it REAL good, and hand waxed it.
poff...red again. I think im goint to pinstripe mine because
it looked good on Youngbloods and he too has a
black bumper.

Rev, I think the black pinstriping would look great on your ride....especially with the black rims. Hell, I'd take that 1 step further and paint then headlight bezels too.

I'd like to see what this would look like on a white car. I'm debating whether to color match it with white stripes or make the tail lights darker with the black. What do you guys think?

I think it would look good white, i've seen a VW thats had it done in white, and i think there's been a grand prix or grand am or something from the earlier 90s that came with white stripes across the lights stock from the factory. the nice thing is its cheap enough so that if you don't like it, its just a couple bucks out of your pocket. Although, it your windows are tinted, or if you have other black stuff on your car(like a bra, wind deflector, or window rainguards) then i think they'd look better in black.

I guess I'm stupid. Do you precut the strips or do cut them while on or do you just go from the roll? and are you suppose to stretch it while applying it?? haha

Just pull some off the roll, and hold it up to the tail light ( with the paper still on the back ) cut the vinyl like 2 or 3 inches too long, so that some striping hangs off @ each end. Place the stripe on the tail light, rub on it hard with your thumb to make sure the adhesive sticks well to the plastic, then cut the excess off. The vinyl does indeed stretch some when applying it, but don't worry too much about that. The main thing is that the stripes are evenly spaced, and make sure you follow the small squares in the plastic in order to keep them straight with the tail light ( left-right ) Hope this helps hun. stretching it helps to get the airbubbles out and keep it nice and tight on light. you can do it with the vinyl, but the chrome and gold metal stripes don't really stretch at all. i start in the middle of the light and use the straight line along the turnsignal and reverse light to make sure i start out evenly, also that way if you start going off along the length of the strip, it doesn't look so bad at the the top and bottom of the lights. also press the stripes down really well with your nail, cut the extra off with a box cutter right against the plastic light, and then press the ends really well with your fingernail again. If you do it well it will stay on for 3 or 4 years no problem. Good luck, and definately post some pics

I'm currently in the process of try to get a patent on the whole white vinyl stripes on a white Alero idea, but noone will return my phone call.
One thing I did that I hope will help with durability, is to take a foot and a half of the striping, and run 1 pass around the circumferance of the light, covering all the ends of the horizontal stripes. I think that with a stripe covering all the ends of the other stripes, it'll keep the ends of all the others from "fraying"
just my $.02
