I have ordered new tires, Hercules HP4000 raised white letter tires (or black on other side if I don't like the look --215/60/15)
I also got full moon stainless steel racing disc hubcaps
Also going to be putting in stainless steel grill inserts. Not the mesh inserts, these will be solid. Hope it looks good in the end.
The next mod will be to lower it. That should make the tires and full hubcaps stand out more.
Hope to have photos up after the first of the year.
Gregg

you might have trouble with full metal grill inserts because our front is angled and curved. I know i had trouble bending my mesh and thats much more flexible then a solid sheet of metal. You also might have to worry about overheating with the restricted airflow your gonna have. Other then that, your cars gonna look very different.

With the looks of those wheels and tires I would say someone get this guy a VW BUG pre 75 model. ![Big Grin](http://www.aleromod.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif) THis will be a different Alero for sure.

Thanks all. The new tires will be here after the first of the year, and the caps are already on the car but with black wall tires.
I've been going over the solid inserts and wondering about overheating. I'll have to keep on eye on it for sure.
Who knows, it might not work but it will be different.
Rock On~ and have a safe holiday. Don't bend those Aleros around a pole...call a cab.

I'd like to see a pic of the hubcars installed, but i'd say the whole solid grill material may be a bad idea. Maybe not this time of year, but definately in the summer. Congrats on the new sneakers though.

i agree on he needs a early bug......im more of a directional tread tire person myself.......and the hubcaps man, thats going to be a lot going on down there.......haha that sounds nasty......
and about the solid steel, i dont think its a good idea, would kill some of the airflow, some of the cold air coming in.........that stuff......

So you're just intent on making sure everybody remembers olds as a grandpa car! Ha j/k bro. I'm the resident oldschool/lowrider around here so I'm very interested to see them once they're on the car and dropped! Those hubcaps are sick IMO.

Well, they are definately different... really depends on how he does them. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean painting a spiral on them with black ink to mesmorize us as he drives by ![Big Grin](http://www.aleromod.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif) But it's a different idea. I'm hope it turns out well *reminded of the picture with the Alero with a 6-pack exaust stack in the back* Never mind, I know it'll look good

i too had the same problem with my mesh in the middle and sides, it was a pain to bend it around the foglights and its really angled in the middle piece, i can barely see my mesh when i am looking straight on at my car it is so angled... <_<

I think he might mean something for the grill like billet style...not solid blocking it I hope....just depends on how much is blocked tho....going 70 MPH down the hwy you should still adequate air flow.

well i got the tires and racing disc's on. looks good for my budget~ next is to lower it when the old hardware goes bad, and i might just cover the fog light area with a stainless covering and not the lower radiator area. still up in the air about it all.
How's it look?

It's origional, I'll give you that much. ![Huh](images/smilies/smilies/huh.gif) I personally wouldn't have gone that route on my car, but if you like it, that's all that matters, man. Be prepared though, I just got a bulletin from my local hunting site, and posting those pics just made it "open-season" on your ride. I think your ride might turn into a whipping-post of sorts, so brace yourself. :P

Maybe lowering it would help? they just offset the car to much, a lighter paint possibly might work? you need to accent the car with more bright silver now? i have nothing bad to say? it is unique.
silver mess inserts up front, silver mirror accents possibly and clear corners are now a must.
it could work if you do the color scheme right?
