Infinity 5000cs Or 6000cs/how About This Setup?

I was checking out some speakers and was considering getting Infinity Reference Components for my doors.

The 5000cs are 5 1/4 and the 6000cs are 6 1/2. Of course I would prefer the 6000cs.

I was wondering if anyone has used either of these successfully, without major modifications.

Another thing that concerns me is that the tweeters are 1inch, not 3/4 like the stock ones. I have heard this is no big deal from some people, but still leary (exact model of speaker might change something).

I felt I should add what my whole proposal was...I'm looking for SQ (on a budget)

Stock HU, mainly listen to indie rock. Here is what I was thinking:

Amp: Profile AP1040
Trunk (sealed box): Infinity 1030w 10 Component Subwoofer
Front Doors: Infinity Reference 5000cs *or the 6000cs if they will fit

I think I would also need a triway crossover, so I could run the components and the sub off the amp.

All this could be had for under $300

Would an Audiobahn (~$10 more) or Polk (~$20 more) DVC be a better choice for the sub?

This is unnacceptable.

I recommend a dedicated mono amp, if you want to ever hear that sub.

Something I was actually thinking, that amp might not be powerful enough to do the speakers and the sub...

I'm tryin to do some reading about this all because I lost most of my audio knowledge a while ago.

The amp specs are as follows:
80 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms
» 125 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms
» 225 watts RMS x 2 bridged output at 4 ohms

Does that mean I could run 2 speakers @ 4ohms 80 watts PLUS the sub at 225 watts @ 4 ohms

or 2 speakers @ 4ohms 80 watts OR the sub at 225 watts @ 4 ohms

I actually think the latter is correct, in which case, not enough juice...

So, I would need to find something that I could run triway, to power almost 250 watts bridged to the sub PLUS almost 75 watts each to the components, right? Or, of course, a mono amp for the sub and a second amp for the components.

I think youre trying to get too much from that amp. I would invest in a good HU to power your speakers and get a not to big but big enough amp for the sub.

I wanted to keep the stock HU for a few reasons:
1. I think aftermarkets look not so good in newer cars
2. I will have to keep the radio somewhere, or a relay, because of the chimes and anti-theft
3. Avoid extra costs

Sticking with the stock HU, I could use 2 amps, and spend around $400 -$450 (if I install myself)

Aftermarket HU with one amp, would end up costing closer too $550

Ideally I wanted to stay as close to 3-350 as possible, but I really don't think that is do-able.
