245/35/19?

Can you fit a 245/35/19 without modifying the body? how about a 235/40/18? I'm going to get the 1.6" drop soon too and I have a feeling that 245 might be too much.

I believe that 225 is the largest width... 40/18 will fit.. but not sure about the 35/19s might be snug.

For a 245 you would need a 30 with a 19" wheel and a 35 with a 18. Same for the 235 as well. There is no closer diameter option.

Online calculator gives me those two numbers as good fits. I think I will go with 235/40/18 as I found 4 x 18 rims from a 98 BMW 325i for $200 all. It has no logo and looks kind of ugly (exactly what I'm looking for) and I just hope they are lighter than our OEM. Next I will get kumho 235/40/18 for rear and 245/35/18 for front and keep them for track only (or everywhere if I get lazy).

The 235/40R18 is 25.4" in diameter as compared to the 225/50R16 stock size of 24.9" diameter.

However I don't know if there's any difference in the PCM for the tire size. My stock tire was 205/65R15 which is a 25.5" tire.

So basically, your speedometer may be off a couple MPH by the time you reach 60. Also make sure you have the right offset or you may rub the rear tires on the struts. My tires (235/45R17) just barely rub on the strut.

Are you planning on using the BMW wheels (FYI, no 325 in '98)? They have a 5x120 bolt pattern and typically have around a -40 offset.

Do you know what the offset is? I assume the smallest offset would work best?

245/40/18 will fit just fine as long as you rims are not bigger than 8 inch wide.

in the rear of the alero you can fit up to a 22in rim, but a custom strut will need to be installed.

our off set is +40 or +42 on a 7.5 in rims.

goodluck.

my wheels are 17x8 with a +32 offset and they fit perfect with the 255 tires right at the lip of the fender...
