Fuel Pump Disassembly Question

Yes, I know it's a two year old thread, but atleast i didn't just start a new one. I understand I need to drop the tank, and now know how to change out the fuel pump. What i would like to know that wasn't answered, is how difficult and long does this take? I also gather it would be alot easier with less fuel in the tank???

Well yes it would but if use a jack and block of wood to help you lower it down.

Usually it's just a couple bolts that hold straps that hold the tank up. Then disconnect the lines, and maybe some bolts at the filler hole and lower it.
