I let go of some tranny fluid by accident, about a quart, and i dont know how to re-fill it, can someone tell me how? I know theres a check plug on the side of the tranny, and i bought fluid, i dont even know if its driveable right now to take the to a dealership? Can anyone tell me what to do?

There's a cap in the engine bay to the right of the engine.

if its 5spd tranny theres a red cap clearly on the to of the transmission get this off by turning and fill it full as you see the fluid!!Then its finish if you wanna drain it before and fill brand new oil get under the car check on the tranny and youll see a drain plug, get the plug off by turning it and wait till theres no oil left, then do the same thing described on the top the end the job check for fluid link before running the car!!
For the automatic one, start the engine(the engine must be running at idle to check the fluid level well)check on the left side of the engine, youll see a yellow or black stick, pull it then fill it with new automatic transmission fluid fill the oil till you reach the maximum point on the gauge!!Now youre good to go!!

^^ Yes but if you put an intake on the car, no problem
If it's a 5 speed, you really shouldn't be changing tranny fliud at all

Shouldn't as in you don't need to? Or shouldn't as in it would be bad to change the fluid? jw

Typically tranny fliud in a manual is more like a lube and less like an oil like in auto trannies

A manaul tranny still needs to have it's lubricating oil changed. There is a recomended interval, no idea what it is. The oil will break down and pick up contamination.
