Problems with the Ho

1. when in park the engine is idling really weird. I'm not sure if its the the belt or something else. but it sounds really bad to me but no one else seems to notice it

2. when i got on the highway to match the traffic i put the pedal to the floor and at about 50 there was a high pitch sound (kinda like a squeek) i think it might be the belt, even though it was replaced the last year.

3. my intake isn't sucking like it used to. pulled it out checked the sensors with a volt meter everything seemed fine. but the filter isn't sucking like when i first put it in and doesn't sound the same. (maybe i've just gotten used to the change of sound) i remember when we first put it in it sounded amazing

if "cliff is reading this" i might make it a goal to head out to auto zone where u work next weekend when i get paid and get your opinion on it

but any suggestions are welcome thanks guys. I'm sure u guys are out and about on 4th of july but ill check in later tonight and tommarow morning thanks!

1. You're going to have to clarify. What's the tachometer do? Is it a squeak? A rattle? A grinding noise? ONLY in park?

2. Could be the belt, or tensioner, go pull on your serpentine belt and see how tight it is. If you can pull it a good 1.5-2 inches it's too loose.

3. maybe now that it has some mileage on it it doesn't filter as well, less resistance, less "sucking" noise, better performance.

is it like a metallic grinding where its somewhat high pitched? because if so i am having the same problem and suspect its my dying transmission or an idler pulley.
