Ok, here I go yet again with another post. I just purchased a Visonik V2608 in the bazaar and am looking for some subs to match to it. This time I'm wanting to go with 2 10s I think. I believe this is an AB amp, not a D amp - will that be a problem with running subs off of it? The specs are as follows:
RMS per channel @ 4 ohm: 350W
RMS per channel @ 2 ohm: 500W
I'm wanting to keep the price at or near $100 per sub.
The ones I'm looking at so far are: (prices are from woofersetc.com)
Alpine SWR-1022D - dual 2 ohm, $130 ea. (50-500W RMS)
Rockford Fosgate P310D2 - dual 2 ohm, $135 ea. (400W RMS)
Image Dynamics IDQ10V2.D4 - dual 4 ohm, $149 ea. (250W RMS)
Soundstream VGW-10 - dual 4 ohm, $149 ea (500W RMS)
Phoenix Gold ZR 10d2 - dual 2 ohm, $105 ea. (300W RMS)
Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1d - dual 4 ohm, $150 ea. (75-350W RMS) - from Crutchfield
Right now just looking over the options I'm sort of leaning towards 3 - the ID, Soundstream and Infinity. With the ID, my concerns are the low RMS rating (just because of the amp specs), with the Soundstream just the opposite - they're 4 ohm DVC and 500W RMS (anybody know if there's a 2 ohm DVC version?) and with the Infinity, my concern is regarding the rating - it says 175 watts per coils - not quite sure what that involves. Any help choosing here would be greatly appreciated, or suggestions for other subs I haven't run across. I'm going for SQ in a sealed box, but still hoping to be decently loud.
