not sure about the first one.. i think when the window is all the way down, you'll hit the magnet. which isn't a good idea. but someone else who has done it might be able to give more info.

the 6x9s though, you have to drop down the backseats (pull the vinyl straps in the trunk and they should fold down) then you have to remove that gray plastic molding. it just pulls straight off. then you can lift the carpeted part on the back deck, and they should pull straight out.

You can put 6.5" in the door (I have CDT HD-62 components), but depending on the speaker mounting depth, you might have to have custom baffles made - also on the higher end components, the actual diameter is a little larger - they measure by the cone diameter, not the overall diameter. I had a guy in Houston custom make the baffles for mine, and am having the place where I work do the custom fiberglassing for the door panels and tweeter pods. There is a 4x6 to 6.5 adapter running around somewhere that I've seen mentioned - might want to searh for it and see if it'll work for you.
Hope this helps,
Collin

While we're on the stubject, i'm gettin new speakers for x-mas and i was wondering if you had to remove the door panel for the fronts, or do the grill's just pop off?

At least on mine ('99 sedan) you have to remove the door panels. Pretty simple process - there's a small cover that pops off under the door panel that has two philips head screws behind it... get those out and just yank the entire door panel off. Then you just unscrew the 4x6 mounting, unhook the connector going to the tweeter and the connector going to the HU and pop the speaker out. I'm going back out tonight to finish up my install and I'll get the pictures off of my camera and post them.
Cheers,
Collin

Oh, yeah - lol... when AftermathAlero and I took mine off, he mentioned those and we popped off the reflectors and there weren't any screws in there - probably why I was able to just yank.
Sorry about that,
