ok i think i figured that out. another question. where does the remote wire go? is it to the back of the hu or is it that 3rd wire on the adapter? if not..... whats is that third wire. looks like this -----()

its solid black. there a white one with a black stripe, a plain white one and the solid black wire with the hoop on the end.

You should really check out the manufacturer web sites and look at diagrams from there. They can teach you a lot about hooking things up. I am self taught and can now install fairly complex audio systems and alarms.
This saves lots of money.
