I'm not sure if this is due just to the cold, or if it's maybe something bigger.

But sometimes If I go out to turn my car on I put it in the on position, I almost always let it sit for a moment (habbit) and then I turn the key in to start possition and wait for it to crank on. Well sometimes it will Jump on really fast. like within a split second. and other times it will usually turn a couple times before it jumps on. leave you waiting for a few seconds.

It's not a major thing. It almost always comes on unless something is wrong.

It seems to go in an order though. forexample. One time I start it. If it seems to take a long time the next time it will hop on really quickly. then it gradually seems to slow down. untill it takes a long time again to start.

I was just wondering if this was normal or not. cause If I go out to my dad's car and start his. (he has an 02 cavalier) it jumps on almost instantly, everytime.

any need to be worried?

I dont think its nothing to be worried about, the same happens with my car. its probably due to the temperature, and plus if the engine is cold or hot u know? Dont worry about it tho, but if it isnt even cranking then yeah u got a problem, our cars aint new well mine aint im going on 100.000 miles and the same thing happens with me

just a Q, you've got 90k have you replace the fuel filter? If its clogged then you might not be getting enough fuel to startup. I have to replace mine every 6 months because of dirty gas. If it is clogged replace it quick, you might blow your fuel pump.

I havent Since Ive had the car. So I'm guessing It would be a good thing for me to change it soon.

1) Is it an expensive part?
2) Is it easy to do?

Or should I just Take it somewhere?
