My passenger side power mirror glass fell out and I lost it. Can you replace just the mirror glass or do you have to replace the entire power mirror? If anyone has a broken one laying around that the glass part is good, I'd buy it! Passenger side. Thanks.

when my girl broke her glass on her 99 alero, they wouldn't replace the mirror. she had to buy a whole new mirror.

i have one, but its black and non-paintable....i'd like to give them up as a set so i'm not stuck with just one...if you have a 2000 chances are they're painted, so you'd need them both anyhow....also where is weaverville? may not even have to ship them

go to your local glass/mirror shop and have them cut a mirror to fit into the gap where it was... leave about 3/16ths of an inch around so it can pivot... and silicone it right to the motor face... that's what i did with mine... works fine...

Thanks for the suggestions guys! The problem I have is that the entire glass part fell out so I don't have the part that holds the actual glass unless I go back out on the highway and look around about where it fell out. Guess I could do that. GM sells the mirror and motor assembly for like $75 and I may have to go that route since the flippin junk yards around here want $85-$90 for the entire mirror.

Just got back from walking along the highway and found the mirror! And it wasn't broken! Morale to the story is to NOT push on your power mirror to adjust it if its stuck unless you're in your driveway or parked! The mirror part is only held in place by some plastic prongs that barely hold it on in the first place.
