I read all of the seafoam posts, and I need to know where and what the PVC is. Now i heard about sucking it up the vaccum line, but I have no idea where it is at. I want to put some of this in my oil, my gas, and the throttle body, but I need to know what the PVC thing is before i do it. I have a 2001 2.4, pictures or explainations would be very helpful to me.

you know you can also take the intake tube off the top of the throttle body and pour it directly into the top too... you dont have to use the pvc. just take the airbox and the rubber hose off and pour some in...

pvc valve is circled. unplug it, take the boot off and stick the hose into the can of seafoam. feather the throttle with your hand to keep the car running while it sucks it up.

hey, no prob man.
as far as the pvc on the 2.4, is there another name for it? if it feeds into the tb, you should just pour it in there. i don't know, just tryin some ideas.

I don't think it will hurt anything. If they are pouring it in their oil and everything else, why would it hurt to pour it in there. I'm pouring some in tonight, i'll let everyone know how it goes after. Thanks for all the help.

Just dump it into the TB. WARNING do this somewhere where you are goin to leave in a hurry. It tends to give off a little smoke :heehee:

well, I poured the whole can in last night, 1/3 in oil, 1/3 in TB and the rest in the gas......... didn't really do too much. It just smoked when I put it in the TB. I'm going to buy another can and find my PCV or PVC hose or whatever and have it run through that..... This sat i am changing my trans fluid and oil and im gonna use some of that royal purple stuff for both. Hopefully this works.

if you poured it in the throttle body it will do you no difference to suck it into the pvc valve... the only point of doing iether is a way of getting it to feed all 4 cylinders... directly into the throttle body does the same thing...

What do you need a pic of? A neon engine and a GM engine a different.
