I was pulling apart my interior to paint it and I thought it would be sweet to paint the gauge surround. Once I got everything apart I realized that the gauge surround (black plastic around the actual gauges) was glued to the clear lense. I tried heating it up to pull them apart.... but apparently I was not carefull enough and the clear lense cracked right through the middle. I thought t wouldn't be too big of a deal, but when I phoned tyhe dealer today they said you can't order just the clear lense from GM you have to exchange the entire gauges for new ones... $400 - $500 buck!!! :o
Anyone know where to get on cheap...? I'm trying auto wreckers, but no luck yet...

I've been phoning a few wreckers around my area and everyone has only the complete cluster.... a lot better pricing than GM.
Silent how much for the part? I'm just not sure how this buying parts from you guys works to get it throuhg the border and all...

Ithink what he meant B-spot was the bezel that goes around/on top the guages inside the acual cluster, beneath the clear covering was what he was trying to paint, and thats why he had to take the clear plastic off, and thats when it cracked...

i used a bezel from speedhut, dremmeled out the stock plastic, and glued in the aluminum one. I painted it red to match my interior.
