I was searchin andys auto sport for some kind of fuel management or ECU, and i came across this.... http://andysautosport.com/product/detail?_...418&_v=vmd00337

Would this help my engine, being that I'm putting alot of "upgrades" in? I was talking to my neighbor who works for a high performance shop(he's been working on high performance vehicles for the past 30 years), and he said that i should go with some sort of fuel management system, in order to get everything out of all the mods i am doing...... Any thoughts or help from anyone would be great..... Thanks

if all you have are intake exhaust and some pullies, you shouldn't need it, but anything past that, you might. We really can't help you unless you tell us what you already have.

i dont think its worth it, imo you dont need that type of fuel management (if it works) unless you are boosted and even then, how many turbo or supercharged alero's do you see here running fuel management like that, nearly none, most get their tuning done with either a dhp powertuner on the 3400 or hptuners for the 2.2, im not sure about the 2.4 i believe that hptuners supports that as well, you will have to look into it, but one of those is by far a better investment and even then not necessary. And not to be a rooster but you dont need much in the way of fuel tuning anyway since your mods arent super extreme, there isnt much done internally, such as higher compression or a different cam, and even then the forementioned tuning software would take care of it for you. and do us all a favor and get rid of the new tps interceptor, if you want full throttle push it to wot, all the intercepter does is take a 75% throttle input and tell the car that you want wot, it gives no gains at wot and destroys your milage when you want to drive it nice. so long story short, save the money.

oh and i just looked at it after i posted, it says its a universal piggyback, i cant imagine what itll take to get that thing to sync up with your current pcm setup. like i said money better spent elsewhere.

If I remember right, you have the Ecotec right??? Just spend the 600 and get the hptuners software. It's a couple hundred more, but you can control so much more...

Shouldn't really have anythig to do with the n-body in particular...just the specific engine that's in it right???

Last time I spoke to oldsman we were talking about the software but I believe that he said there was a difference in the programs. Which makes sense because when I had my reflash done there was a difference between the j & n-body.
