I was thinking it would be pretty cool to put some amber/yellow LEDs under the exerior door handles (as shown on streetglow's website) and also throw a few in series on the mirrors so they work with the turn signal indicators. think it would be a pita to wire up?
I don't like flashy stuff, but I thought it would be subtle and unique at the same time.

message cyberknight about the mirror one. i think he did his...
and for the handles, i've looked into this. i'd say its possible, but w/ how little room we have in our handles, i think you'd feel it in there. there is enough room to barely fit 2 small wires in there for the LED (you'd only need one) just sand the side and tip down so it spreads more down and outward. I thought about doing mine, but didn't want to tear apart my door that badly.

i think those would be the way to go, as long as the glue on the back of them holds after being touched all the time.

ya im not too big of fan of the shaved dorr handles myself.
i would love to put a couple of LED's behind the side mirrors, i think it would give it a really sweet look but of course, its illegal and i would get nailed within seconds of turning them on.....arrg! damn cops

Not illegal in the states to have leds in your mirrors.....as long as they arent blue or red.
I had them inside my mirrors for a while, they were behind the glass part and litup the whole inside I couldnt tell you how to do it because i payed a custom shop to do it for around 100$'s But it looked great so I say go for it
Sux that i dont have them anymore, I got some dual post mirrors a few days ago for 40$'s (junkyard)

Mine are 4 inch neon tubes in the mirrors (blue), but they aren't wired to the turn signals, they're on when I turn on my interior neon. I've had them for a couple of years and the cops have never had a problem with them. The gap around the mirror is so small, it's a very subtle look, but uber slick. Follow my website link for pics. It's a 2 hour install at most.

About how much did the shaved door handles cost you? I've been looking into it, but I dont know how much it would cost to do it.

i HATE the look of amber, i was thinking about putting blue led's behind the mirror. i think cyber is right though, i think the gap is too small to really notice unless your close. so right on.....i got me a new project with LED's ^_^

hell your better off getting some LED's from oznium and rigging it yourself, plus there much brighter anyways, just gotta make sure you have it air tight when you wire it so they dont short out when they get wet (especially when you wash your car)

One word of warning, I don't know if it's the same for power mirrors or other years (but I'm pretty sure it is) but there is no way to remove the driver's side mirror to work inside the housing. You can't buy parts for it from GM, if any part breaks you have to replace the entire unit. So you might find yourself sawing/breaking the mirror off and then gluing it back together when you're done. The passenger side mirror just pulls off.
