how are you suppose to take the plastic part off the rear deck that goes over the 6x9 speaker because I got some others that came with the speakers and I want to use them, do you have to cut them off or is there an easier way?

if it's a 4 door, i know you have to put the back seats down, take the Left and Right Upper molding's off, take the black modling where the seats latch thru off, and life and pull the cover off

I think he's talking about the actualy plastic part thats attached the whole peice, am I right?
If thats what your talking about then their should be what look like plastic rivits going around the edge of the opeing, if you drill out the head of it and it should come off. Thats what i did on mine.

right behind the rear window there are molding strips about 4" wide and if they touch ur rear deck and ceiling, you found it. make sure you pull it straight out, and not curving one side to the front or back because you will break the clips

also whenever i need to remove my rear deck i have to take off the entire back area pull out the backrest, remove both the interiour pieces off of both sides, then the deck area. but i have a two door though.

you may have to bend the deck in the middle to get it out. with it being carpeted, you shouldn't notice after its back in.
also, i have those same speakers (in a 3 way), and they fit fine. not sure where the problem is.

what I mean is: "It doesnt match the shape exactly like the stock ones the only way to put them in with out them moving around and vibrating against the metal while driving is to use the guards it came with so you can screw the speaker to it so it isnt resting on the metal. "

OOOO i see what your trying to do...you didnt remove the stock speaker from the plastic shroud...the stock speaker has 4 hook like things holding the speaker in on the top. unlatch them and pull the stock speaker out. when you put the pioneer one in its gonna be tougher to get in due to its a little larger than stock, but it will fit in with little to no modification (i think i had to break the black tabs that were sticking up and interfering at one of the ends)but anyways try that and tell us how it went
