Will it work you ask ...................well i'm here to tell you HELL YES it will
& here are pics to prove it.
the only modification I did ,was make the hole bigger for the pipe to fit down behind the fender
and it does make a big difference in performance drove around for about 30 min.
engine temp was even cooler & the intake was cold to the touch & the sh!t was loud as hell a lot louder than just a wai.
before
after

i doubt it. 2.4l intakes are generally the same except for the cai made by induction dynamics

Sweet. I've been thinking about this for a while, but I had NO IDEA if things would line up the way I wanted.

Me too ......I thought I might have to cut the new pipe ,but it fit just fine
it took a little wile to line things up just right so the filter fit down in there.

Those pipes were available from Nick, but I'm pretty sure double0 was talking about producing those intakes not too long ago, if that helps some of you......

just curious, but did you notice any gain with this? It looks like an excessive amount of piping to me. But id like to know if it feels better, power, low end pull etc.

I'm interested in this too - would like to know where to get what's needed to do it.
Cheers,

for the most part, I don't know what size your wai is but mine is 2.5" & I just happened to find a 3400 cai that was also 2.5" so I didn't have to buy a new filter to fit the 3" pipe if you can only find 3" pipe you can get a reducer to connect to the 2.5"
