I'm kicking around doing this to the Alero.

I bidded on a DIS 4 box on eBay, but I was outbidded, but the guy won 2 other boxes too, so I guess he'll be getting negtive feedback

Anyway, with all the mods I have, would it help? A guy at work, knows a lot about cars, did one to one of his old cars, and he said it revved like a motorcycle.

The car's running 14.53 in 35 degree weather, wondering if 13.99 is possible with this, in your options. I don't think it's possible to get into the 13's with it, but the guy in work says it's possible, but I'll def get close.

It ran 14.98 at Englishtown, which was the first time it broke into the 14's there, that was in 65 degree weather. Acto is faster, for some reason

I'm running the MSD coil packs, Kenne Bell Boost-a-Spark. I think you'll get SOME gain over stock, but unless you're already boosted or juiced I dont think you'll be able to shave .5 off your times. Never know though, stranger things have happened

Might also try Taylor Spiro-wound 8mm wires in addition.

yeah the MSD DIS boxes are capacitive dicharge instead of the wasted spark like the stock coils. much more powerful and efficient spark and will idle more smoothly. CD ignitions usually have a greater benefit when used on higher revving engines but i think would compliment your other mods nicely.

yea, and you'll double the life of your spark plug too by eliminating the wasted spark on the exhaust stroke

One of the guys over at http://www.60degreev6.com/ had one and said it made the idle smoother but no real noticeable increase in power.

Does anybody make a cam for the 3400? I heard something about a stage 1 where you don't have to change your valve springs. Is this true?

he only needs 1 cam ya ass wagon. but the issue with that is, whats the point in getting a "moderate" cam without the cylinder heads to get the full bennefit. let alone take care of theknocking 2 birds with one stone than taking it apart twice.

and a while back he bought cylinder heads, but they didnt fit because of his California emissions, even though he lives in philly >_>

but yeah plenty of people make cam's there Ken, talk to blackjack he knows more about it than i do.
