I bought a 2 mufflers online and the damn people sent me the wrong ones. The tips on them are 3 - 3 1/2 inchs but thats not really the problem. I was wondering if this is going to fit under the car??? Anyone have the same setup?

that looks hella long dude. whats the measurement? i know for my 40 series to fit the muffler man had to cut off some of the inlet, outlet and quite a bit off the tip.

I think 26 inches and I have 2 of them so it needs to fit on both sides. Take in mind I have the AAS body kit on.

my flowmaster was 19" out of the box and he had to cut it so i dont know dude. granted you have the aas but 7 inches?? i dunno. all u can do is try and see.
and i shouldnt say "it wont fit", cause it will. its just a matter of far will stick out past bumper cover? it might look ridiculous is all.

well 3 inches of that is the angle for the tips so that part will be past the AAS so its really like 22 inches and I can cut off 4 more inches on the back so I think its going to be ok.

I have all the tools to bend the pipes and weld. Not going to have a problem with install.

This is off the RSM site and it looks like there is a lot of room under there even with the stock bumper. Anyone have an idea of how much room we have with an aas kit?

I am going crazy waiting for this car so I can start working on it and get it restored. I think I have around 20 boxes of stuff now to install so it should look great when its all done. Pics will be posted as I work on it from July 7th to the 16th. We will have to meet up somewhere and show off our rides

There is 31 inches of clearance under the car with the AAS kit. I have more then enough room to fit these in. Just thought I would post incase someone else comes across this problem.
Thanks everyone for your input.

but look at that "Y" they have on that thing, it goes backwards to make more room.

Also that's a picture of a Cavalier or Sunfire. Notice the single rear axle instead of independent suspension. J-bodies have a lot more room under there from the axle back.

Like I said 31 inches and it is about 36 inches to the Y. This gives me enough room + room to work with. I will take pics of the install and post them. I can not understand why someone would need to cut an 19 inch muffler apart to fit it in there.

because he wanted to mount it level and there isnt really a place to mount it except towards the bumper.

I just can't see the aas kit adding 20 some inches under the car is all.
