I finaly got the chance to try it out.
Test mule: My 96 GMC Z71
Panel i chose was the driver side door.
I taped off half the door with painters tape for a 'before and after' affect, it didnt turn out the way i wanted it to but you get the idea.
Process and products:
Wash with NXT soap
Clayed with Clay Magic from autozone
Meguires #83 DACP (X2), applied with PC and heavy cutting pad (orange sonus pad) starting at speed 3 and gradually bumped it up to speed 6.
Sonus SFX-2 (X2), applied with PC and medium cutting pad (green sonus pad) starting at speed 3 and gradually bumped it up to speed 6.
Meguires #82 (X2), applied with light cutting pad (blue sonus pad) starting at speed 3 and gradually bumped it up to speed 6.
Meguires #7, applied by hand removed by hand.
S100 paste wax, applied by hand removed by hand.
I didnt like the sonus SFX-2, Did a great job of clearing all the haze from megs #83 but the working time is real short making it hard to use.
Its not perfect but it was my first time and still trying to figure out my technique using this buffer and these polishes.

If i where to detail a midsized car that the paint was as bad as my trucks i would charge $250-$300. Thats a full wash, dry, clay, 3 stages of aggresiive polish, a pure polish, a sealant and then a carnuaba if you wanted it. Plus there are alot of little things that go into it like taping, wheels, tires etc. There is 1 shop here in my town i would trust to detail my car (they mainly do exotics) and they told me $300 for my car.
I think i found my niche in the vehicle world. I LOVE turning wrenches but not as much as making a vehicle that is almost beyond the brink of complete paint failure and bring it back to life as though it was brand new.

Half my truck door took about 30 minutes. I was taking my time to though. To do my whole truck it would take about 7-8 hours. You getta realize i didnt 'hide' the scrathes or swirls, i literaly fixed them.
