Yo guys,
I have an IPOD mini, and I;d like to hook it up to get a Wireless Transmitter. I am looking for something that will not look tacky. But will mount someplace, or what not. And a way to hide the power cable. Does anyone have any wireless transmitters that they KNOW work good for IPODS. and what have you guys done?
Pat

umm..well what kind of deck do you have??
i have the Pioneer DEH6800 and for my ipod i went into best buy and they got me a $30 dollar cable that plugs into the back of the deck, and then i went and got a $4 dollar RCA cable to connect the 2 cables together...it beats paying 70 bucks for that thing that alows you to "control" your ipod from the deck..

I might have the Pioneer DEH6800 does it play the 8 screen savers, one being the scuba diver and another being the race scene? I don't remember my exact model. I will find out

Oh also, umm where did you wire those into? Did you go from behind the headunit, then put a whole in your bottom console. Where it kind of dips in like a pocket, right past your shifter? And place the ipod in there? what about the power?
What do you put your headunit on when you use the ipod? Aux?

yeah..its the one i have for my avatar if you can reckonize it at all...
but on the back where your preouts are coming out under those is a spot you can plug in the cable...
and when i hooked it up, i plugged it in and then slid it down in back of everything, so it came out down by my feet..and then i pulled it up on the passenger side..ill take a pic real quick..i dont care that its showing wires cause i know that not only i, but my friends will be grabbing it so i wanted the free wire so it moves around... hang on ill snap a pic real quick
forgot....you gotta turn on the AUX 2 not AUX 1

I thought you just said you're not spending any more money??
And read the manual that came with your headunit.

omg it says my picture is too big...and i downsized it so much...
when the deck is off.. press in the rotary dial until it says language..then turn til it says the AUX's i turned both 1 and 2 ON because i can use a portably dvd player with the cable
what do you mean power? once i plugged it in i turned my radio on and then turned it to Aux 2 and when i turned my ipod on, it played

When i go into Best Buys, what cords do I ask for? I want to make sure I do this and get the right stuff.
So far I know I need an RCA Y cable. That connects 2 wires into 1. Which then plugs my Ipod.

when i went to best buy i asked for an ipod adapter for my car and then told him what radio i have, and he showed me exactly what i needed..and then on the wall they have all the radios for test or whatever and he showed me what to do in order to get it to work...

I have this bracket that i attached my cell mount to.
I know there's mounts for the regular iPod that attach to it (i have one), I'm not sure on the Mini.
