so i was planning on relocating my radio and hvac controls but turned away from it, cause it seems like it could be too much of a pain...so i was talking with my friends dad and he works with metals and can make a new bezel for my radio and controls out of stainless steel and can get it colored..also i took out the boards and actually got a housing kit in, and in the little space provided with those, im gonna hook LED's up inside and then on the metal bezel cut out the letters ALERO so when the LED's are in it should glow...now should i get the bezel in a color or leave it so it looks chrome?

this is a little off topic from your question but its has to do with what you want to do.
to get the LED's behind the hvac controls, you have to know how to use a soldering iron and also how to screw around with circuit boards. also a de-soldering gun will be very helpful. getting the LED's behind it is not easy at all, it will take a crap load of time so i hope your a very patient person.
also, i dont think the LED's will show up very well b/c it has that green film on the back or what when any kind of light hits it she'll glow that stupid green. let us know how it goes ^_^

ffs,
Stop being a girly man and relocate!
Really though - it all depends on your interior plans as to what would look good as far as chrome/LEDs/etc. all go
(don't mind that nothing lines up or is bolted down - it's an ongoing project, and with it ripped apart every other day it's pointless to put it all back together right now)

so do you think the neon light i have sitting there would do the trick?
since im no longer in school i dont have my electronics class where i have all the tools and such right there =/ and i do have the patience..i went 2 months without a radio in my old car so i could save up and buy a new one..(note to self, dont let friends set pop cans on dash while going, may cause spillage on radios resulting in a dead radio.)
but i would love to relocate my radio down to the cubby space and fill that in and then move everything around..but i dont have the slightest clue on how to do any of that, and prolly dont have the money to have a shop do it either =/
