Turn Signals
Okay My turn signals f*ck up. They only go on some of the time. Then most of the time its nothing, it sometimes turns back on when I hit the hazards but most of the time those dont work either. I looked at the fuses and they are fine. When I push the stick forward to lock the brights, that doesnt work either. wtf can this be! I am getting really sick of it.
Post up any ideas...

recalls have nothing to do with warranties. recalls are issued by manufacturers so that you can get a free repair. Also, this technically wasn't a recall, so don't expect it to get done by the dealer. however, it is a cheap fix to do it yourself.

take it there first. if they can do it, sweet deal. if not, it's really simple. the only tool you need is a flat head screwdriver.
all you do is pry out the button trim and the button. carefully unclip the button from it's bundle of wires (haven't looked in a while, it's a small bundle though) and replace the button and put it back together. no unscrewing, no ungluing. it's a sub-2-minute job.

Ok, I am having the same problem. I called dealership and they said that the hazard switch has been replaced. Can it still be replace by recall or am I SOL. I am assume if it can not be fixed that I can easily replace the switch.

Well, I have to give you an update.... it pays to blow off steam to GM Canada. I decided to use the GM website and a service rep came back explaining that it should be taken care of. Today, I went in the dealership, talked to the service manager and he still stated that it will be not fix. I said that GM Canada made it clear that it will be fix. Well it is fix as a recall so no charge. Seems the dealership does not have the last call....
If you are not happy with your dealership answer, go back to GM...

The dealership practically never has the last call. The dealership is merely like a franchise. If GM gets enough complaints about a particular dealer they will pull their line from that dealer. In a way it's worth it for GM to fix your small problem just so that you consider to buy another GM vehicle for your next purchase.
