for the shifter. theres a little staple like pin in the back of it, take a flat head screw driver and pull her out and then just pull the shifter up and she will just come right off and for the love of god dont loose that pin

Sometimes you do't have to remove that trim panel to get to the radio. If you put the vehicle in drive (car off, parking brake on), lift up on the trim panel and rotate it, you should be able to get the radio trim panel out.

Do u mean just lift on the trim panel where the cd player is, instead of taking the shifter off and the trim near the shifter.
What your saying is dont take that trim near the shifter off, just pull the trim near the cd player and i can get it? what did u mean by rotate it?

you can take the trim around the radio off, when he says twist i think he means so the trim is laying sideways so you have room to access the radio and not have to take the wires behind the hvac controls off.
