whine, needles jumping.
when i start my car the needles are jumping all the way to 220 and 7 on the tach, they settle down after a few seconds, but theres a constant whine sound, and when i turn on anything the lights all dim and the engine revs a little bit, the whine is still present without my headunit even pluged in, with no power going to my amp. few days before this i had taken out my battery and clean some of my engine, but my alternator and some chords were all covered, its been a few days since then, strangly this all started right after an oil change, anyone know the cause of this? battery? alternator?

You need a new alternator.
Mine was doing the same thing. What happens is the voltage regulator inside the alternator is starting to go bad. This is not a serviceable part like it was back in the 1970's so you have to replace the entire alternator.
I changed mine before it died. I talked to a guy in work and he told me his Camaro did the same thing, then a week a later the car was dead.
Just a funky thing a GM car does
