Another Intake Question
Well I posted this question rather late in my other thread, so I thought I'd start a new one so everyone reads it. But my question is, what's the difference between this setup:
and the one I have???
Obviously it's the way it looks, but is it different performance wise??? Cause I actually like the first one better... and it looks like it would be a lot easier to manage.
and holy crap... I do need to clean my engine. haha lol

1st one is WAI (Warm Air Intake) and it will keep some low end acceleration and is less grumbly when flooring.
2nd one is CAI (Cold Air Intake) and it has high end acceleration and give a nice Mr. Beefy grumble.
and you are right it is easier to maintain a WAI.

wai offers a little quicker throttle response and i had one for almost 2 years til i upgraded to a cai just because i wanted cooler air. keep what you have.

bnight- where did u order your CAI from?
and what is the point of the WAI, why not just keep your stock box..... i mean that picture up on top still has that restrictive tube on it....but the CAI is very nice, i love how it sounds when u step on it.

wai is worthless, the whole point is to pull in cool air, a wai pulls in hot air from your engine bay. Keep what youve got.

I was leaning more towards keeping it, but making some small changes.. like the red cuplers to blue and getting rid of that black plastic tube... other that that, I really like it..
