high idle problem

hey guys, yesterday on the way home from school my car started acting up on me again. When it started it was idling at 2k rpm and when it warmed up it still did it. I checked the IAC this morning and it seems ok, but i still cleaned it and the throttle body(including the air passage to the IAC). I started it to see if i had removed any clog that may have been there but it still idled at 2k rpm. Just out of curiosity i unplugged it and it didnt effect the idle at all. Can somebody help me. Im seriously considering replacing the IAC but i dont want to just throw parts at it. Thanks in advance for any help.
